Your Health Shop - What You Need to Manage Your Cancer

This Health Shop page is not a direct shopping page, but describes the things that you most probably should be shopping for in giving your body a chance of controlling cancer.

As you will see elsewhere on this website, elements of B-17 Metabolic Therapy that you need include:

  • Information to understand how the therapy works and how you can implement it in your life;
  • Safer products for use at home and in your personal care to reduce the chemical and potentially toxic loading that we subject ourselves to in our 'civilised and westernised' lives;
  • Good quality vitamin, enzyme and anti-oxidant supplements to add to a healthier (and not overcooked) diet that can make up for those shortages (particularly of vitamin B-17) in our foodstuffs and in our lifestyle.

Information

In my view one of the best starting points for information is where I started - with Phillip Day's writings, cds and dvds described here (another 'health shop' with actual goods to sell!).

Perhaps the hardest thing to understand is why you are reading a positive message about controlling cancer from this website and not from your doctor? Get that deeper understanding so you really can make an informed decision about your treatment options.

Safer Products

One of the concerns about the western lifestyle is the amount of chemicals we expose ourselves to every day. We cannot eliminate everything, but we can take steps to reduce that exposure. Cancer Research UK seems to play down the risks of typical cosmetics and regular household products relying on their continuing legal sale; but government doesn't always have a good record on safety (particularly in the face of strong corporate lobbying). Cancer Research UK is right, however, to say that just because a product is described as being from natural sources it isn't necessarily any safer/better; for example Ecover prides itself on its products coming from plants and not petroleum (and so is in many health shops), but its liquid hand soap for example still has sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) in it (as at May 2012) - which most natural health practitioners recommend you avoid.

I choose, therefore, to buy from a company that has been praised for its cancer conscious product range by the Cancer Prevention Coalition. This company says "In the production of our personal care products - we exclude the following ingredients:

we exclude the following ingredients:

  • Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate)
  • Sodium Laureth Sulphate (Sodium Laureth Sulfate)
  • Tallow
  • Aluminium
  • Mineral Oil
  • Talc
  • Lanolin
  • Fluoride
  • Diethanolamine (DEA)
  • Triethanolamine (TEA )
  • Formaldehyde
  • Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT)
  • Propylene Glycol
  • Phthalates
  • any genetically modified ingredients

and the raw materials are stringently tested to ensure contaminants are not present.

But what we do put into our products are:

  • Stringent quality control standards applied to raw materials and finished products
  • Natural raw ingredients and if no other option, only the safest synthetic alternatives
  • ISO and GMP production standards
  • Biodegradable ingredients
  • Recyclable packaging
  • Innovative and advanced production processes
  • Rigorous safety standards
  • Ecofriendly production techniques

and we DO NOT test our products on animals!

This company doesn't advertise, but relies on its customers to recommend it to prospective customers.  It is available internationally, but via slightly different links/approaches depending on your country, so if you like the sound of its approach get in touch with me and I'll point you in the right direction. I am sure that there are other companies and websites out there with their health shops trying to produce and sell 'safer' products too, but I find that I get the quality I want at a reasonable price here: safe personal care products and quality supplements.

Supplements

The Metabolic therapy proposed on this web-site includes juicing as much of your vegetable intake as you can so that you take it uncooked and retain the most enzymes, vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants as possible. Even so, the Alliance for Natural Health has highlighted research showing that with intensive farming the general levels of these vital nutritional constituents has fallen dramatically so that even a 'healthy balanced diet' no longer has enough to keep you wholly healthy. Once your health is compromised by cancer, you need to boost your intake of these constituents with good quality supplements in the best absorbable form.

I get most of my supplements from the company referred to above and from the Credence Store (particularly for apricot kernals to boost my B-17 and vitamin C with bioflavanoids).

If you follow my links and decide to buy from Credence (or the other company I can connect you to) I should get some (variable level of) commission - for which, thank you - without it costing you any more. Whether you shop on-line or on-the-street the important thing is to ensure that you are getting the nutritional support that your body needs to keep or make it healthy and that you read all the small print about the house and personal care products you buy. If the details are hidden, what does that say about them and the company producing them?

I hope that this 'Health Shop' has been useful for you - even though there was nothing to actually buy here!
